Florence + the Machine has opened the second year of Summer Sessions in Princes Street Gardens with two nights of incredible performances. Last night’s sold out show saw two fans Steph and Jenny brought on stage by Florence following a special message on a flag noticed from the stage by the superstar. In an incredibly emotional moment, Steph said to Jenny: “From the moment I met you, I was in love. I know the future will be always be uncertain and difficult but one thing I know I want for certain is for us to grow old together and for you to be my wife.”

After Jenny accepted the proposal, Florence jumped for joy and the three ladies had a group hug.
