MAIN STAGE

TRAVIS SCOTT // main stage // 9:20PM

The future depends on Travis Scott. Never one to follow, the Houston native asserts himself as not only a leader in music, but also in fashion, culture, and beyond. The diamond-certified eight-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist, designer, style icon, actor, producer, and Cactus Jack record label founder has changed the course of hip-hop with a procession of groundbreaking albums and conversation-starting moves. Giving back, Travis launched the Cactus Jack Foundation as a 501(c)3 with a mission to uplift Houston youth through toy drives, scholarship programs to HBCU college students, and fulfilling expenses for education and creative endeavors.

AMYL AND THE SNIFFERS // main stage // 5:00PM

Amyl and the Sniffers are Amy Taylor (vocals), Dec Martens (guitar), Gus Romer (bass) and Bryce Wilson (drums). Formed in a Melbourne share house in 2016, the Sniffers wrote, recorded and uploaded their first EP, Giddy Up, in the space of 12 hours. They followed with the Big Attraction EP in 2017, which featured the whip smart track I’m Not A Loser, the punching oi punk of Westgate and the pugnacious violence of Mole (Sniff Sniff). These early EPs had a grab bag of influences, from Australian rock to rap to 70s punk, but the sound was all the Sniffers’ own — short, fast, loud and funny.

SEA GIRLS // main stage // 2:55PM

Since they roared onto the scene, the London-based band have cemented themselves as one of British indie’s most consistent and successful groups. Sea Girls found immediate acclaim with their early material: early singles ‘Call Me Out’ and ‘All I Want To Hear You Say’ became a hit with fans, and the band boast a combined 217.5 million streams on streaming services. Their ensuing two records, 2020’s ‘Open Up Your Head’ and 2022’s ‘Homesick’ both stormed the UK album charts and landed in the Top Three. Along the way they’ve played huge sets at Glastonbury Festival, Reading & Leeds, supported Arctic Monkeys and Foals, and landed a coveted spot on the iconic FIFA video game soundtrack.

‘Midnight Butterflies’ is the band’s most expansive and impressive record to date, the sound of a band on fire, working together in perfect harmony with a greater sense of excitement and positivity than ever before. After honing their craft after years on the road, the four-piece – completed by Rory Young (guitar), Andrew Dawson (bass) and Oli Khan (drums) – are creatively rejuvenated. The hallmarks of Sea Girls’ sound remains, but super-charged: lead single ‘Weekend and Workdays’, first released in September 2023, packs one of their strongest choruses to date, while the forthcoming singles ‘Young Strangers’ and ‘I Want You To Know Me’ are razor-sharp and sure to become essential Sea Girls tracks.

WATERPARKS // main stage // 2:00PM

For as much as Waterparks is a genre-busting collective of three friends who play music, hang out, and constantly flip the script, Waterparks really represents a bigger, dare we say, movement. The Houston trio— Awsten Knight [vocals, guitar], Otto Wood [drums], and Geoff Wigington [guitar]—have unassumingly brought vibrancy back to rock. Their strange magnetic pull has attracted a growing cohort of devoted fans who pack sold out shows, stream their songs like crazy, and have even elevated them to multiple Billboard charts as they’ve also headlined the Sad Summer Festival and accompanied My Chemical Romance on a sold out arena tour.

Waterparks might just be the biggest band of tomorrow. They reached unprecedented heights with 2021’s Greatest Hits. Don’t let that title fool you—it didn’t collect their best-performing songs at a discounted price, but it did showcase their best material to date. As such, it cracked the Billboard Top 200 and landed in the Top 10 of the Top Alternative Albums Chart and Top Rock Albums Chart. In its wake, they impressively eclipsed half-a-billion streams thus far. In addition to coverage from Rolling Stone, MTV, Kerrang!, and Alternative Press, they graced the cover of V Magazine and Upset Magazine (who also awarded the record a “five-out-of-five star” perfect score). Perhaps, NME summed it up best though, “Instead of celebrating the past, ‘Greatest Hits’ is opening the door to what comes next.” Along the way, they sold out various headline tours. Now, they kickstart a new era with their fifth full-length and debut album for Fueled By Ramen, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, and even more adventures. As always, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY is meant for the people comprising this greater movement—like everything Waterparks do

SONGER // main stage // 1:10PM

At just 23 years old, Songer has already sold out multiple tours across the UK and around the world, breaking into the UK singles charts not once, but twice. His eclectic style, which spans hip-hop, drum & bass, and garage beats, has garnered him 200 million streams across his catalogue with widespread acclaim and attention from fans and critics alike. Hot on the heels of Songer’s previous successes, including his breakout album, “SKALA,” which topped the UK albums chart at an incredible #1 position and featured collaborations with industry heavyweights like D Double E. Songer’s summer hit ‘Vino Bandit’ has amassed a remarkable 50+ million global streams and continues to average at 1+ million streams a week, claiming his first independent Silver title alongside “Toxic” and “Ballin” which has gone Gold.

With the turn of 2024, Songer earned himself the title of “the UK’s hottest rapper” for a whole 7 consecutive weeks with the release of his single “Toxic (Freestyle)”. The track powered up the charts, peaking at #29 with over 30 million international streams across DSP’s. Cusping these successes was the announcement of his biggest UK headline tour to date. With 6 dates spanning England, Scotland and Ireland, reaching its zenith at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum, the sold-out dates prove the far reaching demand for an artist once humbly placed in a town in Reading. More recently, Songer performed at Glastonbury with two sets, as well as V&A, Boardmasters, Sziget in Budapest and All Points East on Loyle Carner’s line-up, totalling over 35,000 people. Wowwing the nation with a highly anticipated Daily Duppy freestyle on GRM Daily [youtube.com], Songer is gearing up for his Australian tour over Christmas following his sold-out EU run. With forthcoming collaborations yet to arrive with luude, Killowen, and K-Motionz, Songer stormed the stage with Bru-C at Reading Festival, an electrifying performance show on BBC 1 on National television.

LEIGH=ANNE // CHEVRON STAGE // 3:15PM

Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s return is an arrival. Coming from one of the world’s biggest pop groups, now venturing out on her own, her solo pop star career has been a lifetime in the making. With influences ranging from old school R&B to garage, right through to amapiano and reggae, this project will see Leigh-Anne embracing the full potential of her identity as the one and only star of the show. And working with a vast breadth of new collaborators, from afrobeats go-to P2J to R&B legend Darkchild or recent Stormzy collaborator Kassa Alexander, it’s fair to say fans should expect the unexpected.

Leigh-Anne’s journey to develop her identity as a solo artist began during the early stages of the writing process at a camp in Jamaica, resulting in a rich and fruitful experience. Surrounded by a team of talented songwriters and producers, from Dyo to Supa Dups (Drake & Rihanna) and Danja (Timbaland, Mariah Carey), in her second home, Leigh-Anne describes the trip as transformative. This solo debut is centred around a trinity of facets that mark the rebirth of Leigh-Anne as we see her explore becoming a mother, a partner and a rising star and all the nuanced fragile and deep emotions that accompany them. From someone who dreamed big as a teenager, she reached the most ambitious heights she set for herself, overcoming the obstacles that came with it, and is now entering into this new chapter. “This is also about me finding my power again… saying I’m coming, I’m raring to go, I’ve still got this fire and I’m going to knock all your socks off,”

As the first glimpse into Leigh-Anne’s rebirth as a solo artist, ‘Don’t Say Love’ emerges as a modern track that taps into hyperactive garage in its interpretation. “I wanted to release something that was unexpected and most importantly give an introduction to what people can expect from me as a solo artist,” says Leigh-Anne. “I didn’t want to play it safe and I feel like ‘Don’t Say Love’ will definitely surprise people.” Simultaneously, with this new music, Leigh-Anne wants to share more of herself than she’s been able to in the past, touching upon black music references. To delve deep and more candidly into her emotional self. As part of a group, the amount you can express your individual story is naturally capped, but now in this new phase, the mic is all hers: “I’ve got so much to talk about, so much has gone on in my world that people don’t know about, and it just feels great to lay it all out.” On the inspiration for the title, Leigh-Anne explains, “I am a very, very fragile, sensitive person. But I always feel like I have to play the strong, strong woman. I’ve been surrounded by so many strong women in my life and in my family,” she says, gushing proudly about her sisters and her mothers as a source of inspiration and motivation for her.

Visually, Leigh-Anne’s just as excited to explore new avenues of expression too – whether that’s through expressive, artistic hairstyles, daring fashion or cinematic visuals. Under the creative direction of Jenke Ahmed, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Chanel, Beyoncé and Naomi Campbell, Leigh-Anne states, “stepping into my solo era with the creative assistance from Jenke has been liberating! I can really push my creative abilities and everything I do is influenced by me, for me and telling my personal story.” That optimism and excitement to cultivate a name for herself and to do so firmly on her own terms, is precious. “I know who the hell I am and I’m so proud of who I am,” she beams. “For a very long time, I just wanted to fit in. And now it’s like no, I don’t have to blend in, I don’t have to do any of that. I can just be unapologetically me… when I felt overlooked, I would say to myself, you might not have seen me then but you’re gonna see me now. When I come out, you’re not going to have a choice but to see me.”

Growing up Leigh-Anne had popstar tunnel vision. In 2011 Leigh-Anne auditioned for X Factor. The rest of that journey is, of course, history. 9 years later, Little Mix are one of the best-selling girl groups of all time as well as one of the UK’s biggest-selling acts, with over 50 million records sold worldwide. However, being a part of one of the world’s biggest pop groups in a predominantly white industry, touring predominantly white countries, came with its own unique set of challenges too, especially as a mixed-race Black woman. On stage, she remembers feeling like no one was paying her any attention at all and eventually, it all became too much: “I’d cry to my manager all the time just like why do I feel like this, why am I not getting the attention I deserve? Why am I being made to feel like I’m worthless?” At first, Leigh-Anne took her experience as a result of personal failings, and for years was trying to prove herself. It was only when the group toured in Brazil that she experienced crowds with tons of Black fans, calling out her name and cheering for her. An encounter with a fan on that trip ended up going viral when Leigh-Anne was overcome with emotion as they expressed their gratitude and love for her.

In 2020, in the wake of the uplift in the Black Lives Matter, Leigh-Anne took to social media to speak out on her experiences of feeling unseen, unheard and unsupported through the 9 years of touring the world and the response was overwhelming. “My fans started a hashtag: we see you, we hear you, we cheer you on. It was really lovely.” other Black women in girl groups even reached out to let her know how much what she did meant to them, saying, “it felt like I’m not crazy, this hasn’t been in my head the whole time.” Off the back of such an incredible reception, Leigh-Anne presented a BBC documentary on the topic called Race, Pop and Power and launched her own initiative The Black Fund to help support Black charities and organisations. “And now that I’ve spoken up about my experiences it’s given me the power to walk in my shoes more confidently and own it more.” With the charity, she wants to weave that element of activism into any brand work she takes on in the future too, “I have this platform and I want to make a difference… People don’t have an excuse anymore.” And while the documentary scratched the surface of Leigh-Anne’s experiences within the music industry, there’s plenty more to come from the star on telling her own story. Her memoir Believe, written with author Natalie Morris, is set to be published later this year.

MATILDA MANN // FESTIVAL REPUBLIC STAGE // 5:55PM

For new comers and late comers alike, there has been no handier introduction to London – born singer – songwriter Matilda Mann than her recent double singles: sultry pop track ‘Meet Cute’ and the delicate folk offering ‘Tell Me That I’m Wrong.

Following a precocious few years in music, it feels fitting now for Mann’s debut album to start at the beginning. Named Roxwell after the cherished street of her childhood home, the album is a tender ode to her formative years. An only child to loving parents, she soaked in the world from their house in
West London, watching music documentaries with her father, writing songs in her bedroom and performing to her parents in the kitchen. “I’m very sentimental and wanted to pay tribute to that house, which is the closest thing to me. So much of my history is there”, she notes. A gentle and resonant
album, Roxwell exudes the warmth and care of that nurturing environment, propelling Mann into the world with a fundamental desire to connect with people.

Through the years, ‘Roxwell’ has been her constant and has seen the twist and turns of the bittersweet transition to adulthood. This first full-length record is an intimate portrayal – capturing love in its myriad forms. The tracks are as varied as their subjects, but tying it all together are Mann’s classic lyrics – witty,
wise and leaving you wondering what else she meant.

BBC INTRODUCING STAGE

AMIE BLU // BBC INTRODUCING STAGE // 8:15PM

“Rich with honesty and unbridled emotion” (Rolling Stone UK), Amie Blu feels perfectly at home in a new wave of alternative artists – Mk.gee, Dijon, SZA – whose casual handle on genre nonetheless feels completely rooted in classic, crafted songwriting. Born of French heritage in South East London, Amie cut her teeth in community projects growing up – ArtsTrain, Flames Collective – whilst developing her sound, and sense of self, across a series of DIY Eps. A turning point proved to be 2024 mixtape, how we lose. Introspective but frank, tracks like ‘everything about her’ showed a poetic brand of realism – and soulful, stop-you-in-your-tracks voice – way beyond Amie Blu’s years. Having since opened for Joy Crookes, Jacob Banks, sold-out her own headline dates and been confirmed to tour with Faye Webster this summer, 2025 also signals a new project from Amie Blu. Anthemic first single ‘swimming in pity’ is a soaring, yacht-rock jam ultimately about self-sabotage, with second track ‘missing everything’ channelling themes like disassociation into work that ultimately provides glimpses of light, and even a bit of gallows humour, amidst the dark. Watch out for more from Amie Blu to follow soon.

INDOOR FOXES // BBC INTRODUCING STAGE // 2:45PM

Indoor Foxes, Scottish born singer and songwriter, makes indie rock music, described as “Courtney Love meets Paris Hilton vibes; a bit pretty and very, very loud”. Indoor Foxes is the moniker of Martha Barr, who cites artists like Wolf Alice, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, and Fatherson as her main inspiration. To Martha, Indoor Foxes is a vehicle of expression; a cooler and braver version of herself, “I almost idolise this half-character I have in ‘her’. It feels like wearing your favourite outrageous jacket or a really big pair of stompy boots when I move through the world as Indoor Foxes.” The name Indoor Foxes was coined a few years ago, inspired by an influencer named Feral Creatures. Indoor Foxes was born when she switched the word ‘feral’ for Indoor and creatures for her favourite animal ‘fox’.
