Geordie Pop Soulstress Beth Macari Releases “STRONGER” on Humble Angel Records

Geordie pop soulstress Beth Macari has signed a deal with former Warner Music Executive Kieron Donoghue's Humble Angel Records label and and has released her first single “Stronger.”

Following the success of Beth’s previous singles “Clone” and “Boy” - which received international airplay and was championed across the BBC - including exclusive premieres on BBC Radio 2, appearances on BBC Radio London, and a track of the week award by Gaby Roslin – Beth is now ready to unleash new material.

She has kicked off 2019 by signing a three single deal with “Humble Angel Records” after Donoghue left Warner Music Group in 2017 to set up one of the world's first dedicated “streaming-first” labels.

"We're super excited about working with Beth and she's a welcome addition to the Humble Angel Records family,” says Kieron Donoghue.

"Beth is a unique artist and Stronger is an amazing track. We're looking forward to helping propel Beth onto the international stage and we'll be working with her on her next three single releases. We can't wait."

Clocking in at just over the three-minute mark, “Stronger”, is pure soul-driven heartfelt pop gold. Inspired by all of the amazing women in Beth's life, the track takes you on an inspired journey of overcoming failed relationships and heartbreak to become, as the title suggests, a stronger person.

Beth Explains:

“The song is about realising you are enough, I have been in that place where you feel like you are nothing without the other person in your relationship, even if you know they aren’t good for you.

"This is about if I could go back in time and tell myself to be strong and believe in yourself, knowing what I know now, then I'm sure I would have had a little less heartbreak.”

Beth was selected by BBC Introducing to perform at their “New Year, New Artist” showcase at the iconic Sage, Gateshead in January, which was also aired on Tom Robinson’s show on BBC 6 Music.

She followed this with a short tour supporting Davina Michelle and was invited back to SoFar Sounds Liverpool for their “Best Of” show following her first appearance there in 2018.

Having supported some of the biggest up and coming names in the music industry, Beth Macari earned her own time in the spotlight whilst fronting the live house band on Sky One celebrity panel show ‘Bring the Noise’. In this time she sang alongside legends Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah and Mel C regularly.

Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Beth has always had a gift for music. Beth spent two years touring with singer, actor, broadcaster and legend Jane McDonald. Jane was so impressed that she brought Beth back to sing with her on her last ever appearance on Loose Women.

Beth has featured in a short film with Adam Garcia of Coyote Ugly fame and has recently acted alongside Mackenzie Crook, Johnny Vegas and a whole cohort of well-known actors in a short film set to be released on Netflix later on in the year. Once again proving that Beth Macari has many a string to her bow.

With lots of new music in the pipeline as well as planned festival appearances and full UK tour about to be announced, 2019 is set to be a breakthrough year for this Northern pop starlet.

“Stronger” is out now across all good streaming services, including Spotify, on Humble Angel Records.
