From up the road in Edinburgh, electronic indie-pop outfit Redolent bring an energetic and captivating set as tonights openers.

The band’s infectious energy is impossible to ignore, with frontman Robin Herbert bringing both charisma and humor to the stage.

Reflecting on the sheer intensity of their performance, he jokes about a fan’s question after last night's Birmingham show where they asked "How many of you have ADHD?" His reply? A simple, “Yes.”

Fresh off their win for Scottish Album of the Year with "Dinny Greet", their set is a perfect blend of lively beats and emotive lyrics, engaging the crowd and setting the tone for the evening.

Headliners The Xcerts are marking the 10th anniversary of their album "There Is Only You" with this tour.

Playing the album in full, the night begins with the atmospheric "2.12.12" before launching into the chaotic energy of "Live Like This" and "Shaking In The Water."

Frontman Murray Macleod’s stage presence is magnetic, blending humor with heartfelt connection. After "Kick It," he quips that it’s the one song where he can really feel the decade that’s passed, joking that the audience should have picked up on it from his facial expressions. Before "Pop Song," he shares an anecdote about the previous night’s botched performance. While tonight’s version is not flawless, it is a testament to the raw charm of live music.

Glasgow’s signature chant of "here we, here we, here we f***ing go" brings laughter when Murray points out the irony of it preceding the tender "There Is Only You," the emotional album closer that leaves the room captivated.

The encore begins with a stunning "Aberdeen 1987," performed acoustically without microphones or amps. The sold-out crowd is in full voice, as has became routine for this song every time the band play it.

The mood shifts quickly back with the punchy "GIMME", and fans are thrilled when the band dips back into their debut album with "Crisis In The Slow Lane."

Though calls for more older tracks have to be cut short due to the venue curfew, the set ends on a high note with "Show Me Beautiful" and the anthemic "Feels Like Falling In Love," a song that sees the entire room erupt in singalong yet again

Reflecting on the night, it’s hard to believe a decade has passed since "There Is Only You" was released. With a performance this electrifying, it’s exciting to imagine what a 20th-anniversary celebration might look like. One thing’s for sure: The Xcerts have yet again cemented their legacy as one of Scotland’s finest.
