Friday saw the producer megastar Fisher bring his maximalist live show to London. Thousands made the journey to Gunnersbury park to hear the stylings of a lineup which curated some of the biggest names in modern electronic house music.

The weather played ball as the baking heat helped contribute to the summer feeling of the event. Purple Disco Machine and Vintage Culture provided stellar sets which were received well by those in attendance.

This undeniable energy continued into the main set as, after a quick change over, Fisher maintained the momentum through clever use remixes of crowd pleasing anthems. Keeping the audience in high spirits and on their feet for the entire set.

From the stage, Fisher embodied the vibrancy of his music as he danced alongside his mixing. Interacting with the enthusiastic crowd, dipping out the music to allow them to sing particularly popular hooks.

Highlights were numerous throughout the energetic set, but were especially apparent on mega hits “Take It Off” and “Losing It”. However it was not only these anticipated tracks that received positive reactions as reworks and remixes delivered unexpected crowd pleasers.

The production on show helped to elevate the performance Turning the leafy  Gunnersbury park into a sweat soaked nightclub as Fishers light show danced across the leafy canopy. During intense drops or crescendos the gathering darkness of the night was immolated by columns of flame which elicited great joy from the crowd.

Fisher has built a shining career on the ability to produce smash hits which blend his brand of house music with accessible sonic palettes. From the size and dedication of the audience assembled tonight, it’s clear his live shows are another reason why he is one of the biggest names around. The day’s lineup showed perfectly why house and electronic music is able to command the crowds it does.
