Multi-award winning superstar Anne-Marie brought her ‘Unhealthy’ tour to the Open Air Theatre where she brought out the old, the bangers and the new! Teasing a brand new song for the crowd.

But before we get too excited about Anne-Marie, we need to first talk about her support. Georgia. I went into the show never really listening to anything by the support and I’m glad because this way I got to experience her talents in that very moment. The crowd loved every second of her powerful performance, the energy from the crowd behind me got me even more excited for the rest of the set, you could feel the excitement from the barrier, but you could see the joy on Georgia’s face on just how much it meant to her, as she kept handing out drum sticks to the fans, waving at people and showing her appreciation by making heart gestures with her hands. She absolutely did an incredible job at warming up the crowd and the crowd did an incredible job at making her feel amazing.

Now the reason we are all here. Anne-Marie is currently one of the most successful and adored pop-stars in recent times, her off stage antics, her bubbly and fun personality which is infectious to everybody around her or who watches her has earned her fans of all ages and of all genders. She’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business and its easy to see why everybody wants to work with her, the talents she possesses and how many hits she has gathered over the years speaks volumes.

As the crowd started to get ready, you could hear fans singing her name, the screams, the cheers, the pure buzz and adrenaline around the venue, you just knew everyone was in for a special night and as her dancers entered the stage you could feel it was going to be a night filled with energy and emotion. The set started with ‘Alarm’ and from the first notes the crowd was ready to scream the words back and if you were walking by the venue, you absolutely heard the crowd over everything else.
Watching parents dance with their children, life long fans scream every word back, new fans feeling just as welcomed it just felt like a very safe space for everybody, which then spoke volumes seeing someone holding up a sign which read ‘This Is My Safe Place’.

The night definitely felt different to a ‘normal’ show, the dancers helping bring every song to life with powerful and dramatic performances, which also helped emotions spill over for Anne-Marie who got a little emotional herself during the performance and without skipping a beat the fans stepped up to help fill in the vocals when the singer couldn’t get the words out herself. A really powerful moment to witness, and a testament to how loved she is by her fans.

We had fire, streamers, smoke, confetti and an incredible light show as AnneMarie powered through her incredibly stacked catalogue of songs, from songs she’s performed with other artists such as Marshmallo, Clean Bandit and David Guetta, to covering all 3 of her Albums, ‘Don’t Play’ ‘Kiss My (Uh-Oh)’ off Therapy, ‘Alarm’ ‘Ciao Adios’ off Speak Your Mind and ‘Cuckoo’ ‘Trainwreck’ and ‘Unhealthy’ off Unhealthy to name a few.

The smiles didn’t stop for a moment through the night and I’m so glad I got to be part of something so incredible. Anne-Marie’s tour see’s her travel to Cornwall, Leeds and Cardiff, if you have your tickets already, you are in for a huge treat and if you’ve been considering going I’d highly recommend it.
