Last night, Glasgow's SECC Hydro was set ablaze by the dynamic duo, Tenacious D, on their Spicy Meatball Tour. Jack Black and Kyle Gass brought their signature blend of rock and comedy to the stage, delivering a show that left fans in stitches and rocking out all night long.

The evening kicked off with a bang as the duo launched into classics like "Kickapoo," "Wonderboy," "The Metal," and the beloved fan favorite, "Tribute." Each song was met with thunderous applause and enthusiastic sing-alongs and many moments of here we, here we, here we go from the crowd.

But it wasn't just the music that stole the show. Tenacious D kept the audience entertained with their trademark humor woven throughout the performance. Highlights included a hilarious saxophone and megaphone battle that had everyone in stitches.

Amidst the uproarious laughter and rock anthems, there was a moment of unexpected drama when Jack Black's antics on stage led to tensions between him and Kyle Gass, culminating in Kyle storming off, leaving Jack alone in the spotlight. The atmosphere shifted as Jack, visibly shaken, took a moment to address the audience, his voice filled with emotion.

In a raw and heartfelt moment, Jack poured his soul into an emotional rendition of "Dude, I Totally Miss You," accompanied only by his acoustic guitar. The auditorium was transformed into a sea of twinkling phone lights as fans showed their support for Jack during this vulnerable moment.

Despite the rift between the duo, the performance was a testament to their enduring bond and musical prowess. As the final notes faded away, there was a palpable sense of reconciliation in the air, setting the stage for a triumphant reunion and the epic conclusion of the night's festivities.

Jack Black took a moment to introduce each member of the crew, adding a personal touch to the evening. From the talented musicians to the not-so-great pyrotechnic, Biffy Pyro, every member received their moment in the spotlight.

Just before the grand finale with "Fuck Her Gently," Tenacious D treated the audience to a snippet of their uproarious "Spicy Meatball" song. With lyrics as spicy as the title suggests, the duo had the crowd roaring with laughter as they delivered their tongue-in-cheek ode to culinary delights and romantic encounters gone awry. It was the perfect lead-in to the climactic conclusion of the night, leaving the audience in stitches and primed for one last rock anthem to cap off an unforgettable evening.

Overall, Tenacious D's Spicy Meatball Tour was a riotous celebration of rock and comedy that left Glasgow wanting more. Even for those unfamiliar to their catalogue of hits, this show provided unforgettable performances and side-splitting humor, Jack Black and Kyle Gass proved once again why they are legends of the stage.
