THE SHERLOCKS // ST LUKE'S, GLASGOW

THE SHERLOCKS BRING THEIR UK TOUR TO GLASGOW’S INTIMATE ST LUKE’S

★★★★☆ (4/5)

Hailing from Yorkshire,The Sherlocks, kicked off an incredible set to their only Scottish date of the bands Biggest UK tour to date. The mood of the crowd was set early on with a fantastic fitting support from Michael Gallagher and The Rah’s.

Michael Gallagher warmed the crowd up with 2 new songs, overall very light, upbeat indie rock. A great opening act to get the crowd going.

The Rah’s came up with a bang, playing 2 unreleased song from their upcoming album; which reminds me of early Franz Ferdinand or The Fratellis. The bands characteristics and exciting stage presence paired with the great vocals and guitar solo’s, the Rah’s really know how to get the crowd feeling electric.

The Sherlocks starting off their well mixed 17 song setlist, with the crowd already buzzing before The Sherlocks even took to the stage. The cheering beginning with the intro music and the bands entrance. First of the set was “Remember All The Girls” from their newly released album, “People Like Me & You”. However they only got as far as 5 songs before the technical difficulties in which there was a stop of 10 mins to their set; however the Yorkshire band were quick to keep the sold out crowd engaged by encouraging the fans to sing along to the riffs being played on the guitar in the mean time. An all round incredible performance with a personal favourite from the set being “Sirens”. A must see band for any indie rock lover.
