Anyone born prior to 1999 have not heard of Aitch however, he is rising to be one of the top artists within the UK. His most notable track, Taste (Make It Shake) has well over 45 million streams, which is why he can be seen as one of the most promising acts of 2019. With this being his second last date of his sold-out tour Newcastle had to make it special.

With the lights dimming the crowd screamed and the flashlights from phones recording filled the venue as the intro began. The screaming peaked once Aitch took to the stage and began with “What’s Next”, even though this is fast paced you could hear the audience trying to keep along.

Playing to a sold-out show is never easy; however, when you have a venue full of screaming fans chanting the lyrics back to you, that must make it easier as Aitch was in his element. Back to the set, following with “Kilos” the hit song he featured on with “Bugzy Malone”, however the artist didn’t perform with Aitch, the crowd still loved the music and the atmosphere remained untouched. The enthusiasm for Aitch was definitely shown in Newcastle; with the crowd’s roar never ending, memorised song lyrics being belted out back to the artist especially as the next song in the set list was uncovered and “Straight Rhymez” was the object of several cheers and enjoyment.

Next up, surprising the crowd with an unofficial tune: not on Aitch’s album, he proceeded to perform “Kenny Allstar” a free style performed previously on ‘Radio’s 1 BBC Extra’. Although some may have been confused in the crowd, not as fluent in singing along to this song, the audience loved it all the same and continued to enjoy the music, singing back to the artist, with his next song, “2 G’s”.

Skipping to further in the set with the surprise addition of the remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Take Me Back To London” which had the crowd chanting “Jet plane headed up the sky” as mobile phones lit up the venue once again. Now to the final two tracks of the evening “Taste (Make It Shake)” which is had the venue once again bouncing and chanting the lyrics. I don’t think there wasn’t one person not chanting the words. Aitch finished his set with Wait.

All in all, Aitch was on form and has the ability to sell out tours so early in his career. I honestly believe that he will be headlining the larger O2 academies and soon maybe arenas.
