Once a busker on the busy streets of Leeds, Hannah Trigwell has grown up and developed her talent and is now embarking on a tour of the UK and Europe.  Sunday saw her visit the very intimate surroundings of The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow on the opening night of the tour.  Supported admirably by Andy Bargh, Hannah took to the stage around 9pm.  After a few sound issues, she wowed the small crowd with her compositions including Is It Wrong, Never gonna Do That Again and I Blame You.  The songs come from the heart, full of emotion and delivered with much of the same.  Armed with an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, a stomp board and loop station, theres a great depth of sound from just the one artist on stage, the wizardy of electronics!

The stripped down songs are being well received by the crowd, the sincerity of the music well appreciated.  Red tells the tale of the singer’s relationship with red wine.  Miss You, Play It Again, Without You, all songs which tell a tale, and relate with life experiences of the singer, which always gives the music an edge and an honesty.

Mum and Dad, Nobody, Taboo and You Never Really Noticed and the evening was done.  The 30 odd crowd in Glasgow showed their appreciation of the undoubtable talent on display this evening.  Most tracks played make up Hannah’s debut album simply entitled Red, which is available now.  The songs which make up the album are pleasant but sad, melancholy and yet uplifting tunes, which mean a lot to the owner and Hannah’s fans alike and highlight the talents of the main artist.  The loop machine adds so much to the acoustic music on show, which is very reminiscent of a female Ed Sheeren, or KT. Tunstall.

One singer, 1 guitar, good music and a good lyric and that’s all you really need.  Hannah Trigwell has bags of talent, tons of desire and enthusiasm and a will to succeed, and on tonight's viewing, its only a matter of time before she’s a house hold name.  If you get the chance to see her, check her out.
