On the rise boyband New Hope Club embarked on their first headline tour, stopping off in Glasgow to play a sold out - and free - show for fans. This tour is acting as their warm up for later on in the month when they will be supporting well-established pop band The Vamps on their arena tour of the UK. The band were signed to a subsidiary of Virgin EMI Records in 2016 and this will be their third year opening for The Vamps.

The band opened their set with their first single, 'Fixed'. Despite the depleted lineup present - bassist Reece Bibby has had to pull out of the tour after the first date due to ill health - this did not stop remaining members George Smith and Blake Richardson from putting on a first class show for fans. The pair went on to perform a range of unreleased songs which of course the dedicated fans already knew the words to and they closed the set with a cover of Mud's 'Tiger Feet' which appears on the soundtrack for the newly released film Aardman Animations film Early Man.

In the middle of their set, the band stopped for a quick Q&A session with the fans. This carried on the good down to earth connection between the band and fans, which has been present since the beginning of their career. Afterwards they also spent time meeting as many fans as they could, leaving many delighted.

Although performing a rather short set, fans were not left disappointed and they do not have to wait long to see them in action again. New Hope Club will be appearing on stage at the SSE Hydro to support The Vamps on Saturday 21st April.
