★★★★★

2018 so far has been great year for George Ezra, with the release of his outstanding and successful album release of ‘Staying At Tamara’s’ earlier this year, George Ezra has become one of hottest and most talked about artists right now in the UK with a Sold-Out tour earlier in the year to support the release of new album and this current UK Tour over next two weeks, Ezra is heading for Arenas next year due to demand. Ezra also headlined Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall in August and set to headline Manchester’s newest outdoor music festivals ‘Neighbourhood Weekender’ in May 2019.

Singer/songwriter Ten Tonnes opened the night with a warming set. His warm, husky vocals fill the room and you just can't keep your eyes off him and his band performing. Ten Tonnes took to the stage with his band and performed a set list of alternative indie tunes including his new single "Better Than Me". Ten Tones has had great start to his carer so far, being aged 21, has seen him released two EPs and singles which due to feature on his upcoming self-titled debut studio album due for release on 5th April 2019.

Earlier this year Ten Tonnes hit the road with inconic welsh rockers ‘Stereophonics’ on their UK Arena Tour in support of their latest album release ‘Scream Above the Sounds’. Now he’s on tour with brilliant George Ezra who’s on stage next.

Next up on stage was the man everyone was waiting here to see… George Ezra made his entrance on stage. With a packed crowd gearing with buzz and anticipation for his arrival. Ezra came bounding onto the stage smiling from ear to ear accompanied by his six-piece band before singing his first track ‘Don’t Matt Now’ which was his comeback and lead single off  his new successful number one album release ‘Staying At Tamara’s’. The opener definitely got the crowd going, singing along to every lyric and chanting “George Ezra”.

With his relatable lyrics and his big cheesy grin, the crowd definitely couldn’t help not to smile back and bounce along to his incredible tunes. As the show continued to roll on Ezra’s vocals, his deep bass-baritone voice filled the legendary Barrowland Ballroom. Ezra battled through his set continuting to play hit after hit from his debut and new albums. The Scottish crowd couldn’t get enough during tracks ‘Barcelona’, ‘Paradise’ and ‘Hold My Girl’.

George Ezra ended quick and enjoyable set with his two fan favourite classics… ‘Blame It On Me’ and ‘Budapest’ which really kicked off his career in a great way to see where he is now. His set was definitely a powerful atmosphere which was seen inside the Barrowland Ballroom… it’s crazy to think when George Ezra next returns to Scotland he will be playing 13,000 Capacity venue which is ‘The SSE Hydro’ and he has already sold out that show.

As Ezra left the stage with his band, the 2,000 capacity Barrowland venue was screaming with chants of ‘One More Song’ and stamping of feet, as the crowd welcomed back Ezra during his encore set. George Ezra appeared back on stage for two more songs before saying goodnight and goodbye. The two tracks were ‘Cassy O’ off his debut album and ‘Shotgun’ off his new album. Both tracks went down with the crowd and all heard was chants of lyrics, it was definitely special moment for Ezra and crowd as they celebrated a great night of music in such an iconic music venue. For everyone who managed to get tickets for the show will walk away with night to remember for years to come. Can’t wait to see what’s next for George on Album 3 and his upcoming sold-out Arena Tour next year.
