BAD SOUNDS // KING TUT'S WAH WAH HUT, GLASGOW
BAD SOUNDS return to Scotland for an intimate show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s as part of their UK Headline tour.
★★★★☆
Bath band Bad Sounds arrived in Glasgow, to the iconic King Tuts, all set to entertain a sell-out crowd, crammed into every crevice in the venue desperate to see their heroes.
The band comprising brothers Ewan and Callum Merrett on keyboards and vocals, Charlie Pitt on bass, Sam Hunt on guitar and Olivia Dimery on drums stormed the stage, elegantly dressed in bright red boiler suits and yellow beanie hats, and the crowd went nuts!
Opening with Wages, the crowd were eagerly anticipating a night to remember, and the band were up for it from the first note of the first song. Evil Powers, Couldn’t Give It Away and Another Man, the setlist is showcasing tracks from the bands latest release ‘Get Better’.
With a style of music predominantly hip-hop, but with influences from many more musical genres, including Sly And The Family Stone, Michael Jackson and De La Soul, the music is funky and upbeat but with darker lyrics. Tonights crowd in Glasgow seem word perfect on most songs, and with over half a million Spotify streams, and sell out gigs, their music is reaching far and wide.
The show closed in spectacular fashion, with bags of balloons and confetti canons, a very colourful finale to a show with tons of energy, great lyrics, catchy dance tunes and one very happy Glasgow audience.
Bad Sounds – Good times !!
