BLACK PEAKS // THE CLUNY, NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
Black peaks play Newcastle’s Cluny in one of the most intimate gigs of their tour!
★★★★☆ [4.5/5]
What can I say, Black peaks never fail to put on a show! With their raucous sound, the Brighton lads hit the ‘Toon, drawing in a sizeable crowd. Before the doors even opened there was around 50 people lining up, as the night went on the venue got more and more packed with it nearly selling out. With the release of their new album ‘All That Divides’ it was no surprise how rowdy the crowd were, with drinks being thrown in the air and a sizeable mosh pit.
Touring previously with the likes of Architects, Bury Tomorrow and System of a Down they certainly knew how to put on a show. The majority of their set featured tracks from their new album however there were some older tracks from their first LP played, with the likes of “Saviour” and “Say You Will” being played. From their new album they played my favourite track “Aether” which made my night. With the night been the first in mainland Britain it was defiantly a great start to their tour. I’ve been a fan for the group for half a year now and they completely blew away my expectations, they sounded incredible and well-rehearsed; they were on top form! They are currently touring the rest of the UK and I can’t stress enough that you should watch them!
