Baby Strange returned to Glasgow for a couple of sell out gigs at The Priory on Sauchiehall Street.  Supported by Voodoos and The Dunts over both nights, the band belted out an impressive set in the very intimate venue, to an audience of extremely exuberant fans.  The condensation was running down the walls before support act The Dunts had finished their set, and the atmosphere was electric by the time the headliners took to the tiny stage.

Most of the set promoted songs from the recently released debut album ‘Want It Need It’, and the band, comprising of Johnny Madden, Connaire McCann and Aidan McCann from Springburn in Glasgow surely have big things ahead of them, going by tonight’s reception.  From the first chord of opening number Pure Evil, to the fading bars of Pleasure City, the crowd were ecstatic!

A heaving mass of sweaty bodies, legs and arms everywhere, jumping around in time to every beat, thank God for the barrier!!  17 songs in just over 50 minutes tells the pace and frenzy of the music on the night.  If tonight’s showing is anything to go by, the album will be a ‘must have’ for anyone’s collection.

The crowd were word perfect on rousing anthems Pure Evil, Young Team, California Sun, Young Folks and set closer, the wonderful Pleasure City, a terrific tune.

If you get a chance to catch these guys live, don’t miss out, they're going places!
