The band kicked of the show at the O2 Academy Glasgow, The curtain was drawn and the crowd shouted “Here we f*ckin go” continuously as they waited for the band to come on. With the lights dimmed the chants got louder and louder. The band was eagerly awaiting the masked band to take the stage after bouncing around the venue to the support band of the night - The One Hundred

On they came kicking off the start of their UK tour! They came on bouncing across the stage to take position. They began rapping and singing climbing over the objects they had on stage, from amps and guitars to boxes to jump from. Bursting out onto the stage the band filled the venue with energy and the crowd absolutely loved it. The band was interacting with the crowd, going down close to them looking straight at fans singing the lyrics to their most loved songs.

The band wearing their unique masks, were owning the stage, filling the full venue. It was hard to pick a band member to focus on with so much going on. They kicked off the night with the song “Whatever It Takes” then followed by a well known classic called “Undead”.

Halfway through the set the band had pyrotechnics and smoke that filled the stage underneath the big “HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD” back drop. It added to the entertainment of the show. Although it wasn’t flawless in terms of vocals, it was one hell of a performance. The band members came across as a fun-seeking, smiling band, having a hell of a good time and throwing a great party. You could tell the band were close friends living the dream on stage.

The audience was enjoying themselves while jumping along and the people on the upper levels the O2 were seen head banging and clapping their hands towards the sides of the balcony. Last time I saw Hollywood Undead they had support from Attila. It certainly felt like a different audience tonight, The people were still head banging and still jumping and loving the show but they didn’t have the same no fear attitude you get at an Attila concert.

The crowd joined in for a singalong before the music faded out and replaced with a blast of lights as the band jumped on and off of the stage. They played their newest release called “California Dreaming” which seemed to be a new fan favourite. Heads banging and mosh pits forming.

Closing out the night with one of their most known songs “Everywhere I Go” The band and crowd went hard putting in all energy. The band certainly showed up in Glasgow and put on a great performance. If you have never seen the band live, it is an experience like no other, definitely worth seeing. It isn’t just about the music with this band, the performance is just as important. Twice I have seen them in Glasgow and twice I have left having thoroughly enjoyed the night.

I would urge everyone to pop down and see them either be old and new fans when they are next in town. They continue their tour down south of the UK. They have left Glasgow with a performance that makes fans want more.
