British band Roam opened up the show, playing to a very subdued crowd, they played an array of songs, ranging from their first EP Head Down to songs from their upcoming album Great Heights and Nosedives. Though it was a bit of a slow start, they definitely livened up the crowd and helped the anticipation for the main event build.
When the lights went down for New Found Glory to start, the crowd went wild. Playing their two earliest albums in full, they payed tribute to long time fans. The band provided a high energy set that was an instant crowd pleaser. The classic pop punk songs ensured that the crowd was going wild all night.
Even though the night was a tribute to their old songs and long time fans, the band still played Happy Being Miserable from their latest release Makes Me Sick which provided a nice break from the classic pop punk sound. This pleased newer fans of the band and old fans alike. Even though their set was rather long, New Found Glory powered through and their energy never faltered.
As the night came to a close, the band played their most well known song My Friends Over You, which ensured the night ended with a bang.
The night was overall a tribute to New Found Glory's beginnings and the fans that have stayed by them over the years. Playing songs that the band have no doubt not played in years created quite a lot of nostalgia and ensured that it was an incredibly memorable night for everyone.
