With You Me At Six taking their new album Night People on tour for the first time, the tour arrived in Glasgow at the SEC - Hall 3, to an incredible welcome. As soon as you entered you could instantly tell the crowd was anxious to hear what You Me At Six had in store for them. Supported by the talented South West English rockers Black Foxxes, the crowds reaction to the unknown band was incredible to say the least.
Next came the second support act of the night. Aussie band Tonight Alive took the stage by storm. Playing there well known hits from past albums and their most recent one Limitless, they ensured the energy never dropped for a single beat. Technically, you could tell that the band could play the songs flawlessly in their sleep. Singer, Jenna McDougall's intensity throughout the set never faltered. They managed to get the crowd excited and ready for the main event.
As for the main event, from the minute that the lights dimmed, You Me At Six captivated the audience, performing with an ease that only few posses. Frontman Josh Franceschi knew exactly how to keep the crowd entertained. Playing classic hits like "Underdog" and "Loverboy", alongside the songs from their latest release "Night People" was an instant crowd pleaser. The energy the band created, ensured that the atmosphere created never diminished. They ended the triumphant night with "Room To Breath" ensuring that it ended on a high note.
All in all a fantastic night was had by everyone there. Glasgow cannot wait for You Me At Six to return.
