As lights went down, Marilyn Manson propped up on stage in a black throne and yells out ‘I may be a bit broken but you can’t fucking break me’ after performing his opener track ‘Revelation #12’ which features on his recent album release ‘Heaven Upside Down’.

Manson dressed in a black-waistcoat with his iconic make-up. Behind the singer were two massive prop firearms guns. Recently in New York City, Manson was recently injured onstage at Hammerstein Ballroom. While trying to climb up his prop firearms on stage, the firearms accidently fell on top of him, which led to him breaking his leg. As result of breaking his leg, Manson had to postpone the remaining shows on his North America tour till early next year.

Marilyn Manson made return to the stage on November 5th in San Bernardino to play Ozzyfest Meets Knotfest before heading to Europe during November and UK this week. As a result of his accident onstage in September, has had make his stage performance change for these upcoming shows to accommodate his movement ability on stage. His accident on stage isn’t only incident which has happened around Manson’s latest album release ‘Heaven Upside Down’ this year, most recently Manson has also had to part ways with his long-time band mate ‘Twiggy Ramirez’, as a result of sexual assault allegations being made against the bass player earlier this year.

Manson has also caused criticism to himself on his return show in San Bernardino last month as he brought out a prop assault rifle on stage on the day of the Sutherland Springs Church shooting.

The two giant prop pistols, which are bent away from each other on stage, were the reason why Marilyn Manson broke his leg and led to different stage-up for this show in Glasgow this evening. While Manson was recovering for weeks from being in hospital for his accident, resourceful technicians have managed to create a set-up for his mobility and created a Goth wheelchair throne, where he can move across the stage, standing and sitting, even making pirouettes (where is a sight…) For some songs, Manson is supported on stage by doctor-disguised helpers.

Already at the opener ‘Revelation #12’ it becomes clear that the champion is in good shape compared to other concert he has performed this year already. Vocally he is very good this evening and he really seems to be enjoying this concert in Glasgow in front of hard-core fans. In addition to performing his opener, ‘Kill4Me’, ‘We Know Where You Fucking Live’ and ‘Say10’ were performed, these four songs feature on the current recently released album ‘Heaven Upside Down’, the songs are the latter of which has the makings of a hymn. Otherwise there are some costume changes and the usual classics to hear. After about 70 minutes and even two encores, the champion leaves the O2 Academy and his quite satisfied fans.
