Living proof that one song is all you really need, it even says so in his Twitter bio, he might never outgrow his reputation of being the guy who sang "You’re Beautiful", but he’s definitely not a one hit wonder.
After opening the show with the playful "Heart to Heart", Blunt joked with the crowd that now Adele wasn’t doing live performances and Brexit was upon us, he was all Britain had left.
The theme of self-deprecating humour didn’t stop there, throughout the night references were made to Blunt’s below average 5”7 height, coercing laughs and cheers from the crowd.
While Glasgow is known for being tough, the city seemed to bring out a softer side of Blunt which saw him explaining the inspiration behind songs "Time of Our Lives" and "Make Me Better", his wedding day, wife and son. Known for being outspoken on social media, it was no surprise to hear that current hit "Someone Singing Along", which has been dubbed a protest song, was written with US President Donald Trump in mind.
It was after these insights that the classics came out. Using an all white piano, Blunt transported the crowd back to 2004 by performing "Goodbye My Lover", "High" and "You’re Beautiful" with a few newer songs thrown in between.
The twenty song set list was rounded off with the upbeat, perfect summer song, "Bonfire Heart".
