Nina Nesbitt played a small show to the busy streets of Glasgow in her tour for Dr. Martens. The show took place outside Buchanon Galleries and drew a lot of attention from both Nina Nesbitt fans and passers-by. The small gig was expertly ran by the Dr.Martens team who were a great help on the day, handing out leaflets and free Red Bulls to members of the public. Before Nina came onto the stage there was already a noticeable amount of people awaiting her performance, mainly fans of the young Scottish singer but also some members of the public.
Nina Nesbitt came onto the stage to a round of cheering and clapping, her humble shyness makes it impossible to like her. She started the set with one of her new singles 'The Moments I'm Missing' which recently just passed two and a half million streams on spotify, even though this song has only recently come out was sung back to Nina by her loyal fans as if it had been out for years.
The talented twenty-three year old then moved onto her latest single 'The Best You Had' which brought cheers from the crowd, as Nina started playing this song more and more members of the public stopped and watched which she then urged to come in closer. Differentiating between an electric drum pad and a keyboard Nina sang the song with ease which had the crowd swaying and singing.
The rest of the songs played were unreleased songs which are to be on her highly anticipated new album, one of these songs being Empire which stood out in her short set. It seemed to be a crowd favourite with everyone really enjoying the songs catchy chorus. Her new music is definetly different from previous music from the Scottish pop sensation. It has a maturity which Nina has worked towards over her surprisingly long time in the music industry, after being discovered by Ed Sheeran when she was only seventeen she has been in the public eye ever since.
Dressed in her usual stylish way and wearing Dr.Martens she then closed the show thanking everyone for coming and thanking the Dr. Martens team. She also mentioned her upcoming gig at Glasgow School of Art, a show I would definetly recommend going to see with Nina Nesbitt only getting better and better with every song she releases.
