LOVEDAY // 'TO YOU' - SINGLE REVIEW

WARWICKSHIRE SINGER/PRODUCER LOVEDAY RELEASES 'TO YOU' - CHILLED AND HEARTFELT ELECTRONICA

LOVEDAY

★★★★☆ (4.5/5)

Following on from the highly impressive debut single 'Close', the electropop singer/producer Loveday has returned with another mature, slick effort in 'To You'.

'To You' takes Loveday's music on a slightly darker direction than what was previously explored. The verses are laden with melancholic piano chords and distant ambiences, with her lyrics taking on a relatable tale to many - depicting a relationship of bad influences and infatuation. The poignant fashion the track takes is replicated in its main hook, with Loveday's vocal sampled over minimal drum machine beats, and an 808-esque bass line to counterpoint. It's a well-married combo, that showcases the distinct but unique slice of electronica that Loveday can bring to the table.

Already proven to be an eclectic songwriter with the ability to weave multiple influences and styles into something fresh and unique, the consistently strong quality that Loveday has displayed so far with her music is something to be excited about. She is an artist to keep a strong eye on.

Loveday - 'To You' is out now via Ferocious Label Services. Stream the track below:
