DMA'S // "FOR NOW"

AUSTRALIAN INDIE BAND... DMA'S FINALLY RELEASE THEIR LONG AWAITED NEW ALBUM 'FOR NOW'

DMA'S - "FOR NOW " - RELEASED FRIDAY 27TH APRIL 2018

Australian indie band DMA's are releasing their new album "For Now" on April 27th. Their debut album "Hills End" came out in 2016 and got the band on the rise and to where they are now. Despite being from Australia the band have made quite the impact in the UK.

"For Now" produced by Kim Moyes starts off with a tune with the same name as the album. The song has strong vibes of Oasis and The Stone Roses so I wouldn’t call it completely original but is still a great song and perfect opener to the album, and it's clear that Oasis come across as a strong influence for the band throughout the album.

The next song on the album, "Dawning" has a summery vibe but again has some clear musical influence's behind it.  A few tunes have the feeling of wanting to be out dancing in the sun at a festival and have potential to be proper indie anthems, for example Dawning, Break Me and Lazy Love.  My personal favourite track on the album is Emily Whyte, as it has vibes of oasis and some 60's brit pop mixed into one.

Majority of the songs have similar vibes to their previous work but it worked for them before so I have no doubts that this album will go down very well for them. One difference is that the new album has more of an uplifting kick to it that the previous album was lacking. Although I enjoyed the album I feel like it still lacks some originality that I hoped to see.
