Rockstar Energy presents Reading and Leeds reveals a fresh wave of names today, with over 80 artists joining the lineup at the UK’s most anticipated festival weekend from 21st-24th August 2025.
Alongside an unbelievable headline bill - offering the only opportunity to witness the most important moments in pop culture this year - from Chappell Roan to Travis Scott, and Hozier to Bring Me The Horizon, this year’s lineup is now expanding even further. The 2025 edition has something for everyone - whether it’s THE artists shaping the here-and-now or free tailored weekend camping experiences spread across five different campsites (marking the biggest camping overhaul seen in UK festival history).
Today’s names are led by Leigh-Anne, carving her own exciting solo career after years defining modern pop in Little Mix. Skye Newman, the first UK female solo artist to achieve top 20 placings for her first two singles in over a decade, as well as a must-see set from genre-blurring indie rocker Bartees Strange.
Houston trio Waterparks and North London’s R&B artist Demae have been added to the Main Stage ahead of D-Block Europe and Travis Scott. Whilst the pioneering Chevron Stage adds more vibrant names, with Charlotte Plank - one of British dance music’s most prolific hit-makers, West Coast songwriter Still Woozy, and Nottingham’s LYVIA announced to join alongside stage headliners AJ Tracey, Becky Hill and Sammy Virj.
El Paso four-piece late night drive home will celebrate their debut album release this summer and Sunday (1994) continue their dream-pop takeover, whilst headlining the Festival Republic Stage on Thursday night in Leeds is rising pop superstar Chloe Qisha.
Sunday (1994) said:
“You met us on Monday, took us for a drink on Tuesday, made love to us on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and now you get to chill with Sunday (1994) at Reading & Leeds.”
Continuing the trend of innovation, Reading and Leeds in 2025 introduces two brand new stages - celebrating the underground electronic communities blazing a path through modern UK culture. In Reading, the Smirnoff Stage brings together the likes of Riordan, IN PARALLEL, Lu. Re, MEGRA, Omar+, Stresshead and more. In Leeds, the Reload Stage will see DJ Semtex, [IVY], Dr Dubplate, Disrupta, Saint Ludo, Sophia Violet and Tommy Villiers amongst many more. A platform for producers and DJs who are making massive moves and filling dancefloors around the globe - it’s a new communal space for electronic music fans that spotlights the here and now.
The Aux Stage - the home of pioneering digital creators at Reading and Leeds - returns after a groundbreaking first edition last year, with an even more impressive lineup of stars. Revealed as the first headliner in 2025 is Brittany Broski. From ‘kombucha girl’ to a global household name with a loyal online audience of over 15 million, Brittany comes to Reading and Leeds with two exclusive in-conversation shows with trailblazing British presenters Max Balegde in Reading and Charley Marlowe in Leeds. In addition, top UK comedy podcasts JaackMaate's Happy Hour and Harry Pinero and Darkest Man’s Old & Bald land at Reading and Leeds this summer, plus Josh & Moyo and two takeovers from The Rock Revival and Climate Live. The ‘Unplugged’ series will also make its return, where the festival highlights exciting new musicians and offers fans an intimate acoustic performance and interview series. With more to be announced, The Aux Stage is the creator’s playground to serve up a range of interactive shows and fans chance to get up close and personal to the stars they spend so much time with online.
This year will see more late-night entertainment across both sites, including a Silent Disco on the Festival Republic and Chevron Stage - including appearances from Brighton DJ Badger and takeovers from buzzing clubnight leaders including Swiftogeddon, Pop Never Dies, UPRAWR and many more - as well as Silent Karaoke taking control of The Aux after dark.
Championing emerging talent is at the heart of the festival and the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds is one of the most impactful platforms for future headliners and the ultimate place to discover new favourites. This year will be no exception with Amie Blu, Ashley Singh, Chanel Yates, Cliffords, Déyyess, Girl Group, Jack Dean, Keo, Nxdia, Overpass, Phoebe Green, The Pill, unpeople and many more besides - plus special guest slots through the weekend. BBC Introducing will be reflecting the action on-air and on socials, with highlights to be broadcast on BBC Introducing shows across the UK and BBC Music’s YouTube channel.

“Reading & Leeds baby! READING & LEEDS BABYYY!! I’m SO excited, can't believe I’ll be playing both festivals, it feels like a dream!! I can’t wait to play the songs from the new mixtape, see the crowd, and then sing along to Conan Gray who I’ve looked up to and loved for so long! It’s going to get hot, it’s going to get sweaty!! Perfect weekend, honestly I can’t wait - get me there now!!”
Overpass said:
“We’re absolutely buzzing to be playing Reading and Leeds Festival this year! We grew up going and have seen some of our favourite acts there, like Fontaines D.C., Wolf Alice, and The Killers. Can’t wait to join the lineup for this summer”
The Pill said:
“This year just keeps getting better and better, we are truly such excited girlies. Reading&Leeds, we’re SO ready to rock n roll with you for the first time!!!”
Jack Dean said:
"I am extremely grateful and excited to be playing the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds this year! I’ve never had the chance to attend these festivals before, so the fact that my first time going will be playing for BBC Introducing is an absolute dream come true. UK festivals are known for having the best crowds and the best atmospheres in the world and I’m told that Reading & Leeds are no exceptions to that. Thank you so much to everyone at BBC Introducing that made this possible, and to the fans for their amazing support of the music. I can’t wait to see you all in August!”
Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic said:
“Reading & Leeds never stands still. We’re always listening to the audience and thinking of how to deliver the value and experiences that they demand. This summer, we’re adding a new underground electronic stage at both sites and boosting our late night offering for those who want to dance into the early hours. This continues the massively successful precedent set last year, with the award‑winning Chevron Stage and The Aux - which has already attracted huge stars like Brittany Broski for her debut festival show. The BBC Introducing Stage also returns and it truly is at R&L where it transforms careers. Our free, overhauled camping options are also really resonating. With nearly half of Leeds weekend ticket holders having already signed up and Reading close behind, our investment in elevating what general camping at UK festival can be is paying off. To have a weekend with historic headline moments like Chappell Roan, alongside emerging talent and influential voices, I am proud of R&L’s continued development and I can’t wait to see fans embracing it all.”
Changing the game for festivals every year, Reading and Leeds recently scooped Music Week’s Festival Of The Year award, after previously being awarded The Innovation Award at the UK Festival Awards 2024 in recognition for the all new Chevron Stage. This year so far, more positive changes have been announced for this year’s festivals, as details were unveiled of a historic overhaul to its camping offering. Marking the biggest site change at the festivals in its 55 year history and the biggest shake-up that UK festival camping has ever seen, the festival will be introducing five new campsites and a range of new improvements, programming, experiences and complimentary add-ons. These new initiatives are set to make a positive impact on sustainability, safety and inclusivity at music festivals across the board.
Reading and Leeds Festival takes place Thursday 21st - Sunday 24th August 2025 at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds.
Tickets are on sale at www.readingfestival.com/tickets and www.leedsfestival.com/tickets. Festival goers can book their place in the new campsites at www.readingfestival.com/information-category/where-to-stay and www.leedsfestival.com/information-category/where-to-stay.
