Pennsylvanian outfit The Wonder Years delighted pop-punk fans everywhere as they took to social media to share how they plan to honour the tenth anniversary of their second album, ‘The Upsides’.

The band confirmed that they’ll be performing the full-length in its entirety at their forthcoming sets at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hatfield.

In a statement, the band reflected on how the album has shaped them, and the importance of Slam Dunk Festival.

“Ten years ago at Slam Dunk in 2010 we played two sets that felt surreal and impossible – an exercise in pure joy. There was no “made it” moment in our career; no defining point when some bigwig label president heard our song and told us we were gonna be stars or something, but SD2010 was emotionally that moment for us. So, we felt like there was no better place to play the record in full. We weren’t (and I guess still aren’t) sure that people want to hear the record in full, live in 2020 so Slam Dunk will be the test. If it feels good, if the energy is there, then maybe we’ll start planning to do the record in more places before the year is out.”

You can find all of the band’s forthcoming UK dates listed below.

MAY 23 – LEEDS, Temple Newsam Park (Slam Dunk Festival)
MAY 24 – HATFIELD, Hatfield Park (Slam Dunk Festival)

Tickets for both dates are on sale now, and can be purchased online via the festival’s website (here).
