The evening began with Mercer Henderson, whose breakup melodies were both moving and impressive. Henderson's heartfelt tunes struck a chord, I may have found a new favourite artist. Her confidence and stage presence was definitely a joy to watch.

When G Flip took the stage, the anticipation was intense. The performance began with a dramatic drumming solo that built suspense and fans started to get excited.

The LGBTQ+ community, alongside fans from all walks of life, filled the venue with excitement. G Flip's entrance was electric, and their drumming talents were on full display as they captivated the audience.

From the moment G Flip started, the energy was contagious. They bounced around the stage, interacted with fans, and even surprised a few on the balcony, on both sides.

Their commitment to positivity was evident, as they encouraged kindness and spread love throughout the performance. The display of the LGBTQ+ flag and dancing added to the inclusive, celebratory atmosphere. They had a number one rule to be kind to one another and I found that so touching as many artists don’t share that sort of positivity on stage.

One tender moment came when a fan had a seizure, prompting a moment of silence while medical professionals attended to them. G-Flip's response was both thoughtful and genuine, ensuring that the show remained focused on care and support. ‘Silent Emus’ was introduced at the Bristol show and it was said that G-Flip introduced this at the London show when a fan would faint and needed the crowd to be silent.

The show had to end as the situation was worse than people thought, but an unexpected twist occurred, G Flip decided to perform the final song, "The Worst Person Alive," outside the venue due to unforeseen circumstances.

The crowd eagerly moved outside, rushing outside trying to figure out where G-flip would emerge. All squeezed together as buses passed by, creating a unique, unplanned intimate gathering. G-flip emerged, and a heartfelt acoustic set was performed with everyone surrounding the SWX venue. G-Flips genuine connection with fans was shown through this performance, taking the time to perform outside and chat with fans.

Overall, G Flip's performance was the best of the best in energy, engagement, and empathy. Their ability to connect with the audience on such a personal level and their raw talent made for an unforgettable experience. I walked away a new fan, thoroughly impressed by the authenticity and passion displayed throughout the night. What an amazing performance!
