Before Olivia arrived on stage, we were gifted to a stella performance from supporting act Aby Coulibaly. As Aby left the stage, she stated we were about to witness ‘not a gig, but a show’. This set the expectations.

Olivia Dean is a true performer, commanding the stage with elegance and charm. It's wonderful to hear that her live performance matches the quality of her recordings, showcasing her talent and vocal range. The set began with ‘UFO’ the first track from her album, along with her seven-piece band.

Dean knows how to connect with her audience on a deeper level, not just through her music, but through her stage presence.

Transitioning to a more intimate setting halfway through the set as the band began to leave the stage created a personal moment between Olivia Dean and the audience. Olivia allowed the crowd in to see her vulnerability "Everybody's Crazy" and "I Could Be A Florist," especially when they touch on topics like anxiety.

And debuting a brand new, unreleased song like "Touching Toes" provided an element of excitement and exclusivity for the audience.

Reflecting on her previous shows at Gorilla, a smaller venue, adds a personal touch to her performance, highlighting her growth. Expressing her love for the city and its vibrant energy throughout.

Olivia Dean delivered an unforgettable performance that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
