Belfast rappers Kneecap had the audience captivated from the off.

In the penultimate dates of their ‘Fine Art’ tour it’s evident they are firing on all cylinders.

It’s a unique mix of hard rap, dance, humour and politics, the audience singing “FREE FREE PALESTINE” before the band comes on stage and throughout the show in a beautiful display of solidarity.

Rapper Moglai Bap discusses how he will be running 10k per day of the tour to raise money for those affected by the occupation of Palestine.    This would be impressive for anyone with a touring schedule as stacked as theirs, but rumour has it he’s partial to performance de-hancing drugs of an evening, which makes this a physical feat worthy of whatever you can afford (you can donate here)

The gig pounds on, the ever relentless hard bass has the Barrowland’s sprung dance floor working harder than ever. The band invite the crowd to get on each other's shoulders, creating a monumental scene of flags and scarfs more akin to an old firm derby than a gig.

For a show that felt like the definition of inciting a riot, you couldn’t imagine a nicer vibe. The audience were all smiles and cuddles. Helping each other up in the pit and keeping it safe.

I’ve been seeing bands play the barrowlands for a long time and I honestly cannot remember a time where a band has hit it as hard as that.

Go and see kneecap live to truly understand what they’re all about. It’s difficult to get across in words.
