LYRA OPENING UP FOR WESTLIFE AT GLASGOW’S OVO HYDRO AS PART OF THEIR ‘WILD DREAMS: UK ARENA TOUR’

LYRA PERFORMING AT GLASGOW’S OVO HYDRO

Irish singer and songwriter LYRA is the opening act for Westlife on their current tour ‘The Wild Dreams’ and I had the pleasure of getting to watch her perform on the 2nd night of the tour at Glasgow’s amazing venue The OVO Hydro which was the first of 2 nights at this amazing venue.
As the room was starting to fill of excited Westlife fans, the lights dimmed down and the music began to play out came the beautiful LYRA in a gorgeous white outfit as she greeted the crowd and introduced herself. The crowd gave LYRA a warm welcome by cheering her on as she began to sing her first song.
LYRA continued singing hit after hit including her song ‘Falling’ and ‘We Are Beautiful’. LYRA made sure to chat to the crowd for a bit and explained the meaning behind her song ‘Mother’ which she dedicated to her mum.
As the room was becoming more energetic and full, they seemed to be really enjoying the set of LYRA as they cheered her on singing and dancing along with her as she danced around the stage putting on an excellent performance.
LYRA ensured to get the crowd ready and warmed up for Westlife and the crowd definitely loved her interaction with them. LYRA announced that her set was coming to an end and she finished off strong leaving the crowd hyped up and ready for Westlife to come on stage after a short break.
Although I have only just discovered LYRA I’m more than happy that I did, she has an excellent stage presence and her voice is incredible. LYRA is bringing her very own tour to Glasgow in April 2023 and I would highly recommend going to see her show, you will most definitely be in for a treat!
