After touring for nearly twenty-three years or more, Stereophonics return to Berlin on their European Leg of the ‘Kind Tour 2020’ before hitting the Arenas back in UK next month.

Welsh rockers ‘Stereophonics’ have been performing show after show for the last twenty-years or more in Berlin. Tonight the band fronted by frontman ‘Kelly Jones’ return to Germany’s capital for packed-out show at Huxley’s Neue Welt.
The venue was clogging for air as so much sweat was starting to build up since doors opens for fans. The weather was horrible outside, the heating was on and he heat was stifling: With all but several doors open but fans were enjoying cold beverages which seemed take away the fact the venue was overheating. Tonight’s support came from Nadia Sheikh.
Twenty-three years since their band’s debut album ‘Word Gets Around’, the Stereophonics still have an ardent following, who have greeted track after track with growing enthusiasm. The welsh rockers are back in Berlin tonight to support their new album ‘Kind’ which is the band’s eleventh studio album which was released last year.
As band were ready to come stage, they launched right into things with C’est La Vie, a fast-paced number from their ninth album ‘Keeping The Village Alive’. Before giving German fans bit of classic number ‘Superman’ which really got the crowd started going. This was shortly followed by ‘I Wanna Get Lost With You’.
Front man ‘Kelly Jones’ told the Berlin crowd ‘We’ve been coming to this City for nearly 20 years or more, It’s such a incredible city we’re so happy to be back’. As the crowd response to this with delight, the welsh rockers kept giving the crowd what they wanted performing classic belters like ‘A Thousand Trees’, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ and ‘Have A Nice Day’. Which really got the crowd going.
The band also included new tracks off their new album ‘Kind’ which included ‘Bust This Town’, the lead single ‘Fly Like An Eagle’, and ‘Don’t Let The Devil Take An Another Day’. As well performing more classics such as ‘Graffiti On The Train’, ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ and massive guitar rifts on ‘Sunny’ which made the place explode everywhere, with cheer and joy.
Kelly Jones even took time perform ‘Boy On A Bike’ and ‘Elevators’ acoustically which gave fans chance catch their breathe again. During ‘Elevators’ sat down performing the song with a ukulele guitar which band mate ‘Richard Jones’ had bought for Kelly’s birthday which he told the crowd.
The welsh rockers continued add more legendary tracks such as ‘Just Looking’, ‘Mr Writer’, before finishing their incredible set with ‘The Bartender and The Thief’ which really got the crowd going. As the band left the stage all you hear cheer, chanting and stamping waiting on the band to appear on stage for their encore.
As the lights came back on, front man Kelly Jones appeared on stage solo to perform their classic number ‘Local Boy in the Photograph’ acoustically which definitely a real treat for the German crowd. Kelly has performed the classic hit number acoustic also on his Solo Tour last year. Shortly after this band returns onstage alongside Kelly. The next two tracks were more tracks from ‘Kind’ which included ‘This Life Ain’t Easy (But It’s the One That We All Got)’. Before ending their set with their classic number ‘Dakota’ which the entire crowd knew the lyrics to. Kelly performed acoustic intro for ‘Dakota’ before going straight into. As the song came to it’s Climax, the band left the stage again for the night, thanking fans for coming and also said we will see you again soon.
The crowd left the building with a great atmosphere despite the weather still being horrible outside.
