Rising Scottish pop-princess Be Charlotte bounced through a knock-out headline show that delighted her fans.

The Dundonian pop singer Be Charlotte started to gather traction when she embraced the help of local organisation Creative Scotland. This is an initiative that supports young, Scottish musicians in finding access to funding and developing the connections that will help grow their success. And from humble beginnings, Be Charlotte embraced the group’s support and, as such, saw her career flourish. Her songs are bright, belt-it-out, bangers that are well written and delivered with conviction and skill. Be Charlotte is known for her colourful, care-free attitude and she is charging forth in the direction of musical acclaim at full speed.
Previously, Be Charlotte played at the notorious and huge Glasgow venue the Barrowland Ballroom when she supported Tom Walker just a few weeks prior to this contrasting, intimate performance in The Garage’s Attic Bar. Despite the young lady’s clear capability in both these settings, she looked much more at ease in this show. A young audience piled in and optimism and delight was ripe in the air.
Be Charlotte took to the stage supported by a bassist and lead guitarist, although, as she was later joined by a percussionist. Her musical crew were tight and solidly churned out the looping melodies of Be Charlotte’s sunny tracks. She opened the show with anthem track ‘Dreamers’ and knocked it out the park.
The lass has some talent for pop song writing. As well as ‘Dreamers,’ other highlights of the set included the softer ballad ‘Burning,’ the delightful and catchy ‘Fake Up’ and the empowering ‘Brighter Without You’ which was released as a single on the night of the Glasgow set. Be Charlotte’s brilliant first release ‘Do Not Disturb’ is the hug that someone who is experiencing the gloom needs.
Be Charlotte is lady who has musical talent well beyond her years and as the years pass, it's clear she is destinded for success. She did show her age with some of her dialogue with crowd, making some childish remarks likely down to nerves and a lack of life experience, but she looks like a natural performer and frontwoman.
Be Charlotte, I can’t wait to see where you go from here. Keep doing Scotland proud ya wee beauty and get that album out.
