Opening the show tonight are California rockers Vista Kicks. This tour is their first time in the UK, with tonight being their first trip to Scotland. Despite this they take their set in their stride like they've been here hundreds of times before.

With a sound similar to early Kings of Leon, they captivate the ever filling Corran Halls and grab everyones attention with their slick grooves and catchy choruses.

Highlight of their set comes in closer "Live, You're Gonna Die" which is a hook laden anthem in the making. Definitely a band to keep an eye on!

Headliners The Kooks take to the stage and launch into new song "Kids" from this years "Let's Go Sunshine" album, with the sold out venue immediately going wild.

Fourth song in we get the classic "She Moves In Her Own Way" which has everyone in the Corran Halls leaping off their feet and screaming along to every word.

Frontman Luke Pritchard is great at working the crowd, constantly interacting with the front rows during songs and calling on the all the dancers present to make themselves known and show off their moves for new tune "All The Time".

"Hope you're digging the new album, don't worry we'll play Naive! It'll take a while but it's in the contract..." he jokes, before we get a run through of another newbie "Four Leaf Clover".

The set is filled with a great mix of songs new and old, electric and bouncy, and also into the other side of things when we have a beautiful solo acoustic rendition of "Seaside".

The highlight of the evening comes in old tune "Always Where I Need To Be" and gig closer "Naive", which has everyone in full voice for one last time.

This date was part of a mini intimate tour, with hopefully a full tour coming soon!
