With their tour selling out, their second last show of their tour was one of their most memorable, with a crowd of well over 400. Supporting the indie group was Newcastle's own Honey Bee, Mayfare and St Buryan.

Honey Bee was the first act of the evening performing a small set, which had a selection of signals they’ve released such as ‘Lines’ and ‘Climbing’ also included in their set was a variety of unreleased content. Up next was Mayfare, the Alt-Indie group hit the stage in style performing their set of 7 tracks to the ever growing audience. The last group supporting Only The Poets was the five piece called St Buryan with their catchy songs they had the whole audience moving.

When touring it is an accomplishment to sell out a show but Only The Poets have managed to sell out their entire tour with the biggest being Newcastle's show. The four piece started off the night with ‘Dead Young’ one of their most recent singles, as soon as the song started the crowd erupted with screams, up next was the unreleased tracks ‘WGLY’ and ‘Stolen Bikes.’ After these tracks the lead singer thanked the crowd for coming, saying “this is our biggest headline show ever and we can’t thank you enough for making it possible.’

After this they resumed with the fast paced song “Eskimos” which got the crowd moving again, next up was “Nanas House” a slow track. Both are unreleased. Following this was “Every Song” before playing this Tom; the vocalist told the audience that ‘all our songs are about a girl, or love so we wrote this about them.” After, “Every Song” was “Even hell” which was just released in July. This was one of the highlights of the night as their vocalist was standing on the barrier, holding members of the audiences hands. Up next was ‘Ceasefire’ their most popular single, during the song there was moments where the group would stop playing and let the audience sing the chorus. Their last song was “Emotional” which was when the audience went crazy, not a single person was stood still.

After watching the group perform in June this was a major step up from with them performing at the relatively small Think Tank, all in all they give an incredible show. The group are performing in March at the mighty Newcastle O2 Academy and we can’t wait to see them again!
