Brought together by their love of 70's and 80s disco and funk, this four-piece band made up of frontman Isaac Taylor, guitarist Luigi Di Vuono, bassist Jack Walsh and drummer Matthew Buckley.

Founded in Stockport Manchester, the band have recently released their debut EP “Skint Disco Kids EP” which consists of songs such as “8 till late” and “Skint Disco Kids” both of which were played at The Attic in Glasgow which is part of their current tour which is taking them all over the UK.

Made as Mannequins, a band from Glasgow, opened the night followed by Racquet who livened up the crowd.

No Hot Ashes opened with one of their most well-known songs “bellyaches” which immediately excited the crowd, making the audience relax into the infectious, funky guitar riffs and raw and gritty vocals which range from love to politics.

To the band, the stage was definitely their playground, optimizing every inch of the small stage by running around and jumping around like nobody was watching and all in all, having a great time. This attitude spread through the crowd like wildfire and suddenly people were up dancing, larking about along with the band and even joining the band on stage by the last song.

“Goose” ended the night, one of the first songs that was written by the band in 2014 and is still a fan favourite. The gig was definitely a great night for fans as well as the band who undoubtedly had a great night, hopefully making their first gig in Glasgow memorable.
