Marmozets announced another UK Tour back in November 2017 playing Glasgow instead of Edinburgh This show was the bands first concert in Edinburgh at ‘The Liquid Rooms’

The band had quite a long hiatus through 2016 and 2017 after touring and the release of the debut album ‘The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets’ in 2014. We never heard much from the band till the end of 2017 with first single of the new album ‘Play’ this single showed that the band never lost their edge in there absence.

The doors opened at 7.00pm and fans started to flood in to be greeted by support act Queen Zee which got the fans ready for the main act to storm the stage.

8:40pm the lights dimmer as the band walk on stage starting off with songs on their new LP.

On the 3rd track they performed which is one my favourites from the debut ‘Is It Horrible’ the sound of Becca Macintyre loud screaming vocals and heavy bass and guitar riffs just go so well with the tiny venue. During the set the band had interludes speaking to the audience saying “Its such a pleasure to be back in Scotland” and a punter in the crowd shouted at Becca “Marry Me” which was funny to everyone involved

The set consisted of songs from the new album and debut album such as ‘Move Shake n Hide, Habits, Major System Error Born Young and Free Play and Why Do You Hate Me?’ which seem to suit fans new and old. Marmozets ended off their Edinburgh show with a goodbye and their final track ‘Captivate You’ as the song came to a close the band walked off stage with feedback from the amps and the roaring crowd cheering asking for more.

The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets are set to continue their UK tour and later in the year are playing Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival at the King Tuts stage which will be covering later in the year. The band will also be making appearance at this year's Kendall Calling in Lake District this summer as well. After the hiatus and new album the band still have got the energy and charisma and have not lost their touch do try to catch them in their tour.
