Opening with If It Feels Good, he had the crowd on their toes from the word go, and hardly let up all evening. Bad Bad news, Better Man, Shy, the top numbers kept coming, and whenever the opportunity arose, Bridges showed off his moves again, wowing the Glasgow audience.
Bridges setlist this evening compromised the majority of tracks from both albums, 2015’s debut Coming Home, and 2018’s release Good Thing, with the newer songs going down well with the crowd, but the older numbers from the debut album had them really moving.
Smooth Sailin’ and Flowers closed the first part of the show, while Bridges took a well-deserved break, before returning to the stage, guitar in hand and finished the encore firstly with crowd favourite River before closing the set with Mississippi Kisses. The band took their bows to an ecstatic audience, with Bridges and his band in full appreciation.
This was an evening full of energy from the stage and from the fans. Great soul music, tunes to get you moving, songs to get you singing and a star to get you smiling. Bridges is the real deal, a great live performer.
