As Dr. Martens is more popular within the punk and indie scene, this made The Ninth Wave a great choice for the Presents Tour because of their unique sound and style. The visual aesthetics of the store makes it work very well for these kinds of events. The cool vintage jukebox helped to create a visual atmosphere for the audience and helped bring the set to life.
I’ve been a fan of the 80’s post punk and new wave styled band since watching their Tenement TV Session and listening to their EP Never Crave Attention back in April, but this was the first time I’ve seen them in action, and it is safe to say they did not disappoint.
The Ninth Wave thrilled the audience with a short, powerful and intimate set, starting off with their newest Single Sometimes the Silence is Sweeter, followed up with brand new songs, some of which we are expected to hear in the new upcoming EP FLESCH which will be released November 9th.
