A, the British alternative group from Suffolk have embarked on their UK tour along with them is 90s icon Wheatus and InMe. With this strong line the audience were in for a treat.

When I arrived at the venue, I was shocked for there to be a line so early with people continuing to join as doors were opening. After finally entering the venue there was a positive vibe, with many eager people waiting to enjoy a night full of great music.

Starting the night off strong was InMe, an alternative metal four piece from Essex. With over six albums released they clearly know how to put on a show, with their heavy guitar riffs and raunchy vocals the sounded better than ever! When entering the stage vocalist and front man announced to the audience ‘I’m having a M&S Gin and Tonic.’ With their short and snappy set, I really enjoyed their performance and for the first band on in the evening they had a sizeable crowd with the venue already at half capacity.

Next up was Wheatus, iconS of the late 90s and early 00s. From the get-go their set was crammed in with as many songs as they could fit in their half hour slot. To begin their set, they performed a cover of ‘Time Stand Still’ by Rush which sounded great. After this vocalist Brendan Brown spoke to the audience “Were going to try something new if that’s okay? This song is called Michelle and it’s unreleased.” The audience seemed to enjoy it, hopefully it is released soon. Continuing with their set which featured fan favourites such as ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Break It Don’t Buy It.’ When addressing the crowd Brown said, “We’ve got some signed vinyl’s on sale at the merch desk, we’ve not got many and it supports the band.” I then saw a few people rush to snag one. As their set drew to a close their second last song they played was ‘Teenage Dirt bag’ which was the track gave them major success and is their most iconic.

Finally, A! With the house lights dimming and the band making their way onto stage with cheers from the audience however vocalist Jason Perry remained off stage. The band then started to play ‘Took It Away’ this is when Perry comes out wearing a Deliveroo Uniform with the backpack included. This was the highlight of my night and the audience couldn’t stop laughing. Featured in their set were fan favourites such as “Something Going On,” “Six O’clock On The Tube Stop” and “Starbucks.” Their set was seventeen tracks long and it was perfect, it featured songs from throughout their discovery. A managed to almost sell the venue out and this has to be the biggest crowd I have seen at the Riverside. They sounded incredible and were the best group of the night. I cannot recommend A enough. They are still touring thought the UK and I encourage you to grab a ticket, so you can witness them for yourself.
