First up was Australian born Endless Heights, the guys did an excellent job of warming up the crowd not long after doors had opened. It made the anticipated wait for the headliner more bearable. The band filled the room with instruments as the late arrivals poured into the room.

Next up was Dream State, the South Wales born alternative band took to the stage. Electric guitar riffs filled the room whilst frontwoman CJ interacted with the crowd encouraging them to open up the circle pits whilst she stood on the barriers singing along.  The band brought an incredible level of energy to the stage uplifting the mood and preparing the crowd for the headliners.

Following on from Dream State was American born alternative rockers The Plot In You, opening their set with frontman Landon Tewers singing alone under dimly lit lights the band opened their set. The band maintained the insane level of excitement and kept the crowd bouncing and singing along with their mesmerising guitar riffs. The band had incredible stage presence and kept the crowd engaged throughout their entire set.

In the interval between the support segment ending and the headliner beginning the crowd spontaneously burst out into a ‘Hey Baby (If You’ll Be My Girl) by DJ Otzi’ singalong, uplifting the spirits of those around them and making the half an hour wait for The Amity Affliction more bearable.

Tonight’s headliner The Amity Affliction arrived on stage to a sea of adoring screams and chants from their fans who eagerly awaited the bands arrival. The band jumped right in with Drag The Lake fresh off their Misery album, the crowd erupted with the sounds of fans screaming the lyrics back at them much to the bands approval. Throughout the entirety of Drag The Lake and Don’t Lean On Me the sea of crowd surfers came flying over the barrier never breaking the sing along. The band appeared to pride themselves on maintaining excellent crowd interaction at all times. The lighting for the entirety of the gig was some of the best I’ve ever seen, it made for even more of an atmosphere. All F**ked Up provoked a unity of voices exploding from the crowd, it was a key moment in the set which had bass guitarist Ahren Stringer smiling back at them as he sang along. The acoustic segment held a more intimate moment with the fans which made for beautiful silhouettes seen from the back. The clapping along was highly encouraged by the band which only spurred the fans on more. “Will you save my life or just say goodbye?” echoed throughout the room as hundreds of voices screamed along creating a beautifully intimate moment between both the band and fans. Ivy (Doomsday) had the entire room singing along once more often appearing louder than the band which the band themselves seemed to love. Joel Birch had incredible amounts of energy seen in his movement around the stage keeping the crowd involved in the performance. The lighting flashed to the beat of the music which created a beautiful silhouette of the band whilst the instruments played on. Birch went on to encourage praise for the support bands and thanked fans for coming to the show and for their undeniable energy. The band closed with Pittsburgh a known fan favourite which was the perfect closure.

The show overall was full of energy and guitar riffs galore. All bands who performed gave it their all and put on an incredible show. Definitely a show to see if you get the chance!
