Capping off a month of excellent Scottish talent at King Tut's New Years Revolutions were the ever-improving underground superstars, The Ninth Wave. Selling out the venue, the band put on a blinding performance for the audience playing songs from their recently released Reformation EP, as well as upcoming tracks which are scheduled to be released soon.
Taking to the stage in gothic, monochrome outfits, the band put on a great display with an array of unique elements, including the head and body of a mannequin with the words 'NEVER CRAVE ATTENTION' marked across it, as well the inclusion of a garbage can being battered with drumsticks whilst the song wore dark red gloves in one of their new songs.
After recently appearing live on Vic Galloway's show for BBC Radio Scotland and playing a session, its clear to see why they are making such a wave in the music scene as of late, with their live sound being as impressive as ever. Having witnessed this band go through an array of different members and styles, the singer, Haydn Park's dedication and ability to stick to his guns seems to really be paying off now as they reach a high-point in their career. Their uniqueness and niche ideas are what sets them apart from other young Scottish bands in the scene right now, and you'd be crazy to pass up a chance to see The Ninth Wave live while they're still local.
