After being part of a number of different metal bands throughout the New Orleans heavy music scene, Cane Hill formed between members Elijah Witt, James Barnett, Bemo Barnett, Ryan Henriquez, and Devin Clark in 2011. The name coming from an abandoned psychiatric hospital in the UK.

Since then, they've have released one EP and two studio albums, the second being latest release and was released this month. Cane Hill are definitely part of the nu metal scene that has seen a resurgence, they bring a raw and emotive performance to their set with the lead singer singing each song and commanding the stage as though he is giving a sermon and we are all there to learn from his teachings. Exploding onto the stage with the aptly named "Time Bomb" from their first album Rise, they wowed this packed venue with their style and energy. Although Motionless in White were the headline band, Cane Hill had a lot of fans in that night and they fed off the energy coming from the stage.

They worked the way through songs from their whole catalogue which kept the whole audience bouncing, moshing and crowd surfing through their 10-song set finishing with "Fountain of Youth" with lyrics "Shut the fuck up, I just want it to stop" but that's certainly not how we felt.

Catch Cane Hill on their European and US Tour until the end of May.

Motionless in White, often abbreviated MIW, is an American metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Chris "Motionless" Cerulli (lead vocals), Ricky "Horror" Olson (rhythm guitar), Devin "Ghost" Sola (bass), Ryan Sitkowski (lead guitar), and Vinny Mauro (drums). A metalcore sound that has attracted a huge following and you could see how exited the fans were to see their favourite band. The room was a sea of MIW t-shirts and hoodies. As the lights went black the audience erupted into cheers. A fantastic band that certainly know to put on amazing show. The band is made up of some fantastic characters, none more so than the bass player Ghost who played is part perfectly. The keyboard sounds give a dark and eerie feel to their songs that's is matched perfectly with Cerulli's voice.
