With the venue still fairly empty, tonight's openers Rhinoplast take the stage. The band have a nice groovy feel to their songs with a grunge element thrown in. The crowd, which slowly builds up as their set goes on, seem to take kindly to what is on offer from the four piece. Stand out of the night has to be last song "Kleenex Vex" with it's insanely catchy hook of "If I'm just a maybe well there's no point saving me" Definitely ones to watch out for!

Up next we have Triptych. With their heavily influenced, early Biffy Clyro-esque sound their raw vibe takes over the entire room. The start of their set seems shaky, though this could be largely down to the technical issues experienced with vocalist Finn Hennessy's mic cutting out mid way into the first song. Things are recovered well as the set goes on and overall they are a decent watch.

Main support tonight comes from Artie Ziff. Taking their name from a Simpson's character, you could be forgiven for thinking they would be one of your typical run of the mill light sounding rock bands...they are anything but this. With a huge stage presence and songs which stick in your head for days, they stand out as one of the acts of the evening. For a 3 piece the sound they create is humongous, the heavy rock vibe is tremendous and you get the feeling this may be one of the last times you can catch them in a support slot, as they fully deserve to be headlining massive stages in the near future.

After previously catching them opening for the mighty Twin Atlantic at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom in December, we can't wait for headliners Fangclub to hit the stage. As soon as they do, it's a full on onslaught of in your face, bouncy grunge riffs. The best way to describe them? Without a doubt Fangclub are Dublin's answer to a new age Nirvana.

Though the crowd seem slightly reserved at first, it's not long before they are singing the words back in full voice. Set highlights come in the shape of debut album belters "Best Fake Friends" and "Role Models", with the crowd loving every second of them. To be honest, the same can be said for pretty much the whole set tonight.

Things are rounded off nicely when frontman Steven King decides to take his rocking out into the crowd, thrashing around with sheer energy and excitement.

Fangclub are ones to look out for, as soon as the mainstream properly picks up on them, they are definitely going places!
