Welsh rockers ‘Stereophonics ‘perform a sold-out show at Dundee’s Caird Hall, a venue in Scotland which brings some of biggest bands to its stage for fans. The venue was clogging for air as so much sweat was starting to build up since doors opens for fans.
The heat was stifling: With all but several doors open but fans were enjoying cold beverages which seemed take away the fact the venue was overheating.
And 20 years after their debut album, the Stereophonics still have an ardent following, who greeted track after track with growing enthusiasm.
From the accents in the crowd, it was evident that 2,000-capacity crowd were boosted by a large contingent from the band’s native wales.
The Stereophonics launched into things with wth C’est La Vie, a fast-paced number from their most recent album, but also started with Looks like Chaplin and then onto More Life in a Tramp’s Vest both songs which featured on their debut album ‘ Word Gets Around ‘.
There were renditions of Have A Nice Day, I Wouldn’t Believe Your Radio and an extended Maybe Tomorrow. Preceded frontman Kelly Jones turning to the crowd and asking what was on everyone’s mind. “it’s f***ing hot in here, isn’t it?”.
