First off were Milk Teeth however and they came out swinging with a tight set of punk rock songs from latest EP "Go Away" and some older ones. Even with the reduced stage space due to other gear, they were energetic and faultless in performance. Vocalist and bassist Becky Blomfield proved her prowess as a frontwoman and generated hype for the rest of the bands coming and their selection of tracks sound great in a live environment.

Next up were pop rock trio Against the Current who have been touring relentlessly in support of debut album “In Our Bones”. With this being their second journey around the globe, it was clear they had their live show nailed to perfection. Chrissy Costanza isn’t afraid to show off her incredible voice and gets the crowd involved to shout back the lyrics to “Talk” which they did so with aplomb. With this album cycle coming to a close, 2018 will be exciting to see where this band go next.

Taking to the stage and instantly kicking into “The Anthem”, Good Charlotte meant business straight from the get go. The Madden brothers Joel and Benji are a joy to watch, exchanging smirks and perfectly timed jumps and look like they are having a blast throughout the set. Set highlights include the classics like “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl” and “Girls & Boys”, but it was also great to see the band delve deeper into their back catalogue for some songs we haven’t heard for a while like “Emotionless” which was given the solo acoustic treatment. It was also great to see new songs from Youth Authority blend so well with the old tracks, with their single “Makeshift Love” sounding brilliant and gets the singalong it deserves. Closing off a packed set with “I Just Wanna Live” and the classic “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” during which the crowd went wild, the band leave the stage to a tremendous roar. With their whole UK tour selling out completely, Good Charlotte are a band on top of their game and still rightfully as popular as ever.
