Having kicked off their UK sold-out Arena Tour in Newcastle on Friday evening, Kasabian returned to Glasgow, playing hits from their back catalogue boasting an array of hits and a reputation for fierce live performances, an expectant Hydro crowd was in for a treat, as always the atmosphere for Kasabian in Glasgow is always massive.
As the lights went down after fifth-teen minute count down on the side-screens, the sound of 'Fox 20th Century intro' echoed though the venue and the band appeared on stage to roaring crowd chanting "here we, here we, here we fucking go.." The epic trumpet intro welcomed the band on stage as they launched into their 90-minute show. “ HELLO GLASGOW.... shouted Meighan during Ill Ray (The King)” before song included, the crowd just went into frenzy, the performance even resulted in a flare being released from the crowd.
Rocking in their white denim, the band continued their set with their 2014 hit number 'Bumbleebee' which basically made the crowd go even more wilder, this was also followed by EEZ-EH lead single of their previous album '48:13', but the real highlight of the night was when the uber-catchy oldie 'Underdog' kicked in and the arena enjoyed mass singalong.
