Opening with "King of the World" from 2001's "White Album", Weezer get everyone back in gear straight away. Frontman Rivers Cuomo dons a crown and a red King's cloak which fits in perfectly with the theme of the song.
The sold out venue hangs on every word which Rivers delivers, his vocals still as impeccable as they were when the band first formed back in 1992.
"It's Weezer time. It's Weezer o'clock. Glasgow, Scotland!" the frontman proclaims before the band launch into lead single "Mexican Fender" from forthcoming album "Pacific Daydream", released this Friday.
The first monumental singalong of the night comes in the form of "Pork and Beans" and things spiral from there, in the best way possible. We get a cover of Outkast's "Hey Ya" and an amazing rendition of "Undone-The Sweater Song" which features one very lucky audience member taking over lead guitar duties. This is followed by a snippet cover of Mike Posner's "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" before Weezer launch into what could quite possibly be the best end to any gig, ever.
