Scotland's very own recording artist, songwriter and four-time Brit Award winner 'Emeli Sandé' makes her long-awaited return to Glasgow's soil to take on mighty SSE Hydro after making her live comeback this time last year at beautiful intimate venue of Oran Mor's Chapel upstairs. Emeli Sandé made her a-long waited return to music scene after four years away writing a follow-up album to her successful number one debut album ' Our Verison of Events ' which was noticed across the world after performances at Opening and Closing Ceremonies of 2012 London Summer Olympics, as well as supporting COLDPLAY on their UK and USA Arena Tours as part of their 'Mylo Xyloto' album campaign. As well featuring singles by rapper 'Professor Green' with their massive hit number 'Read All About It' and teaming up with her producer Naughty Boy for 'Wonder' and 'Lifted. Before Emeli Sande made her name with her debut single 'Heaven' she first noticed by Chipmunk who she teamed up with for 'Diamond Rings'.

Emeli Sandé returned with big number 'Hurts' which made people more excited for her brand nea album, Sandé performed 'Hurts' and BRIT AWARDS earlier this year before releasing new long-awaited album 'Long Live The Angels' back in March this year, following album release Sandé announced intimate shows across the UK including a date at Edinburgh's Usher Hall and London's O2 Brixton Academy which sold out in minutes before announcing that she will take on Arenas across the UK which we thought she would have on her successful debut album after the massive success she was having.

Calum Scott who was first noticed by Simon Cowell and co... on Britian's Got Talent few years with his audition of his version of Robyn's cover 'Dancing On My Own' which he eventually got to final with and then eventually released as his debut single was only support act of the night as is for rest of the tour. This is massive opportunity for young singer as it's great opportunity for him to have a long set and really let him belt out his songs to people who may start to connect with his music, he was great singer to pick in preparation to build up the atmosphere for Emeli Sandé who was due on stage soon. Calum Scott played set of his own songs as well covers including his debut single 'Dancing On My Own', Scott mentioned during his set "It was so good to be back in Glasgow, I love this city... everytime i come here i am always welcomed in massive way, last time we played here as band was at Barrowlands supporting Boyce Avenue.. so good to be back and to play this beautiful arena".

As houselights went out the arena was just full of echo of sound of music and a silence audience, Emeli Sandé appeared on stage with understated manner and dressed in her trademark head to toe back dress, stormed into her 2016 comeback hit 'Hurts'. Which made crowd silence with hydro echoing which so loud was best number to kick her performance off with.

Surrounded by her backing band and singers, who were all dressed in white andadded to the clapping acoustics of the track, Emeli welcomed her fans saying, "Good Evening Glasgow. I can't believe this. It feels so good to be back". Emeli then stormed into her next number 'Where I Sleep' which featured on debut album. Fans engagement about having Emeli back their city was unreal.

During Sandé's set she showed the audience just how far she has come since her debut, by talking about a venue change from the last time she performed in one her favourite cities... she said "The last time i performed in Glasgow, was in Oran Mar, so to be here tonight is just incredible". And as incredible as the SSE Hydro is in size, it was clearly made for artists like Emeli who managed to create an intimate atmosphere through her stunning voice.

During this tour she will headline in front of 20,000 fans at the O2 in London on this tour, but when it comes to Arena shows many artists can easily get fears of playing the arena but Emeli controlled it to her advantage and even opened up the atmosphere through her up-tempo debut Heaven. As well as a cover of Janis Joplin’s Piece of My Heart was a highlight and at the risk of sounding like an X Factor judge, she really made that classic her own. Then taking to Taking to a piano in the middle of the arena, she then performed Clown, a track she was offered money for to give to Susan Boyle but refused. She then played her single massive hit single which she performed at 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony "Read All About It" which also features Professor Green and her single "Beneath Your Beautiful" with her backing singer which normally features Labrinth on recorded single. These moments were spine-tingling performances which really cemented the singer’s position as one of Scotland's best performers.

Before ending her performance and returning to main-stage.... Sandé gave the fans one last number which she said "i hope everyone knows this one, let's get up and dance!" and then belted on performing her hit number 'Next To Me' which the fans were loving, entire arena were up dancing and singing back the lyrics to 'Next To Me' which bought a perfect close to beautiful and amazing performance by Scottish singer. She did eventually come back on stage to a encore performing a strip-back version of her song 'Little Bit Longer' which was suppose to feature on her new album 'Long Live The Angles' but sadly make it, but did give the fans a little longer with Emeli Sandé before heading home after have a great night out.

As the evening started to close she performed many amazing song and the crowd was more than happy to sing along with her. Overall it was an amazing performance from both Calum and Emeli creating an incredible experience for all fans. We hope Emeli Sandé doesn't take another four years to write and release a follow-up album to 'Long Live The Angles' she already is bringing a new EP next month called 'Kingdom Comes' which features hit single 'Starlight' which she performed on middle stage in front of fans at her grand piano playing different version of the song. This is good sign she's already starting to think about her third studio album.
